Tax Stamp Labeler

Link-Pack’s Linear Excise Stamp Labeler is a simple and reliable system for automating the application of excise stamps to pre-filled and sealed cannabis pouches of various sizes.

It is a versatile system that can be adapted to many styles of bags containing cannabis flowers or related products requiring an excise stamp. The Allen Bradley PLC and intuitive display saves settings for each bag size and allows for quick changeovers. For example, it can use pouches with child-resistant zippers, bottom gussets or single four-sided pouches.

Our excise stamp pouch labeler is considered a semi-automatic system as it is primarily used off-line. Operators hand-feed pouches onto a continuous motion lugged conveyor and the side guides ensure proper alignment before reaching the excise stamp applicator. Our design can also be used in line with bags being fed directly from an existing bagger or conveyor as long as they are discharged consistently.

Child proof zipper bags can be oriented facing the front or the side. The pneumatic activation of the swivel spout (or label release plate), will apply the tax label then quickly retract to clear the pouches bottom gusset. When required, a foam roller is mounted to complete the labeling operation and applies additional pressure to ensure adequate label adhesion on pre-filled cannabis pouches.
