New metal detection platform improves foreign object detection in food and consumer products. Thermo Fisher Scientific’s new Sentinel metal detector rapidly scans up to five frequencies to help food and consumer goods manufacturers confidently find ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel metal contaminants in products to improve safety for their customers.

The Sentinel metal detector is designed for a wide range of applications, offering improved performance for products such as dairy, meat, poultry, fruit, vegetables, bread and health and beauty.
